An additional comment on status of Red-breasted GooseJeff,
    Well, there was that Common Crane that apparently migrated with Sandhills to Nebraska ...and the Mongolian Plover in Louisiana.......and the Slaty-backed Gull in St. Louis............

  Upon addition reflection, I wouldn't dismiss the Kansas or Texas records completely.  Why couldn't a RB Goose just have flown over the Arctic to central Arctic Canada and come down with Snow Geese or another species?  Or why couldn't one have followed the Arctic coast of Asia and continued to central Canada before heading south?
