Our small birding group check out Alton Baker Park today from the
community garden out to the pedestrian/bicycle bridge across the
Willamette. We did not bird the ponds near the restrooms.

The Say's phoebe was in the small oak trees (under 6 feet) adjacent
to the dog park near the hammer throw field. It was there at 8 AM
when we began and at 10 AM on our way out. The other highlight was a
Cooper's hawk building a nest which is located near the bike/
pedestrian trail near the bridge over the Willamette.
