[obol] Jordan Valley raptor runs 2/24/07&3/18/07

We did the last two counts with a big difference. The weather was a change from Overcast and cool to Partly cloudy and warm.

Many of the birds were paired  or in close proximity to each other.
Other birds seen on the drives- Ravens;geese Canada;Meadowlarks bright yellow colors; Hornedlarks; Magpies; Pheasants; Ducks Mallard,Pintail, Widgeon, Teal, Coots,and Shovelers;Swans; Redwinged Blackbirds; Killdeer;Sandhill cranes; 4Turkey Vultures
which we didn't see during the year;Ca. Quail;and Say's Phoebe. Mammals seen Jackrabbits,Mule deer,and "picket pins"  I believe they are Belding Ground Squirrels. Time spent 6 hrs per day and 169 mi. each.
