[obol] White Crown Sparrows

Re Pam's question about Oregon White Crowned Sparrow sightings, I can report 
a White Crowned Sparrow in my back yard in northwest McMinnville on March 
21. I also saw one while I was walking on NW Fox Ridge Rd about 1/2 a mile 
north of here one day last week. I heard one as we left the Fanning Farm, 
about 3 mis southwest of Amity on Saturday, March 24, on an Amity Daffodil 
Festival volkswalk and remarked about it to a walking friend. I heard one 
singing early this morning about a half block east of here when I went 
outdoors to get the Oregonian. When I moved into this house 11 years ago in 
May, a White Crowned Sparrow sang for many days in front and back of the 
house. I became familiar with and still enjoy its song.
