[obol] Barred Owl in Clackamas County

Hello, all.  
 
After hearing a couple of Barred Owls in Clackamas County, I finally saw one Thursday, 3/29, at the northern edge of Mary S. Young State Park in West Linn.  I heard and saw the bird around 7:00 pm.  It was being harassed by a vociferous group of crows.  
 
The winter took its toll on some of the bigger trees and some areas of the park are much more open than they were previously.  Unfortunately, some of the trees that came down were snags with cavities I suspected of harboring the park's good-sized population of screech-owls.  That may explain why I heard more than usual around my house this winter.
