Hello Obol,

Bob Stites and I birded the 181st Street Marsh this afternoon. There were
several calling VIRGINIA RAILS (one glimpsed briefly as it flew), a pair of
CINNAMON TEAL, a perched NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, and in the field south of
Riverside Parkway and east of 185th, two SAVANNAH SPARROWS. These were all
first-of-year county birds for me. Also at the marsh, two or three singing
MARSH WRENS.

Cheers,

John Fitchen
Portland
