[obol] help with duckling id

Obol,
    There were seven ducklings at our pond this morning.  I'm not sure what they were.  Can anyone out there identify them from the following description?

    They were blackish and yellow, like all ducklings, with yellow face and chest, most of the rest of the plumage blackish: Black crown, eye line, and post auricular spot.  On the fore part of the body each had  three distinct vertical yellow stripes running upward from the breast toward the wings, the middle stripe being the longest.  Each had a bright yellow spot on either side about where the tertials would be on an adult bird.  So they were very distinctively marked.  
    Any help appreciated.
