I birded Tillamook today. As often happens, the best bird of
the day was early: 2 male GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES flying along
Hwy 6 at MP3. Unfortunately, by the time I pulled over, they
had gone.

Other stuff:

Barview: Harlequin Ducks (a pair close in), Surfbird, Wandering
Tattler (across the channel on S jetty), Black Oystercatcher
       130 Pigeon Guillemots

Nehalem STP: Redhead (male), 2 male Cinnamon Teal, Killdeer pair
with half grown chicks (cute!), Northern Rough-wing Swallows,

Bay City (end of Salmon St): 1 male Eurasian Widgeon. No Tufted
       Duck at sewage ponds.

Rain River (end of Goodspeed Rd): Olive-sided and Pacific-slope
       Flycatchers, Western Wood-pewee

Fenk Rd: 250 White-fronted Geese

Bayocean: Brant (10 or so). 2 Marbled Godwits (way out on "Cormorant
Island"). 2 Horned Grebes, 10 Western Grebes.

Shorebird numbers were very low. A few flocks of peeps (Westerns,
I think) flying north.
