I spent a leisurely morning birding Tualatin River NWR and out to Killin
Wetlands, Banks.
New for the year for me included 6 BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK, a WESTERN
WOOD-PEWEE, and 3 SEMIPALMATED PLOVER at Tualatin River NWR. Other good
birds included 3 WARBLING VIREO, a WESTERN TANAGER, about 85 VAUX'S SWIFT,
two pair of GREATER SCAUP.
Between Mountaindale and Banks was a WESTERN KINGBIRD.
The Killin Wetlands area hosted 5 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS, 3 CASSIN'S VIREOS,
and a PILEATED WOODPECKER.
