[obol] Powell Butte oddities

Couple interesting things from Powell Butte today.  A very molty looking Towhee.. or is he leucistic.. photo up at: http://home.earthlink.net/~s.berliner/
Then came an intergrade Red/Yellow-shafted Flicker male with good neck crescent and red moustache.
Then at 2:00 p.m. I was watching the resident Harrier hunting low and about 40 ft. from me, when the also-resident Red-tailed Hawk that claims a dead-topped live fir tree 400 yards east of the old walnut orchard, came diving in on him and struck the Harrier with an audible thud, flying onward to his high perch, as though he had no intention of killing or eating the Harrier; just extreme intimidation I guess.  An exciting nature moment.
