The instructions below are a repost from yesterday or directions to the
bright colored Red-throated Pipit still at the same site seen this
morning at 9:30 am by myself and Eileen Cooper.

Hello Birders,
Today 2 Red-throated Pipits were found by Lucas Brug in Tolowa Dunes
State Park in the Smith River bottoms near Fort Dick. One was in 1st
year plumage and the other was a beautiful bright adult.
I arrived and got photos of the bright adult and Joe Gartland also got
to see it.
Go to Pala Road off the north end of Lower Lake Road, then go to the
white gate. Walk down the gravel road that heads west from the gate and
go about 300 feet, then watch for the island of tallest grass on the
right (north) side. Adult kept flying back to this spot and was calling
and singing.
The 1st year bird (which only Lucas saw) flew widely over all the fields
calling and could not be pegged down.
A Cattle Egret was also in the fields beyond the gate.
The Black-throated Sparrow found by me and also seen by Eileen and
Sherie Cooper, was in Redwood Nat'l Park just south of Crescent City off
of Enderts Beach Road. Go down Enderts to the Crescent Beach Picnic Area
off the west side of the road. Once in the large circular parking lot
notice the south most picnic table. Bird hung around the lawn here and
in the beach driftwood just down from the table.
Finally, 4 Eurasian Collared-Doves were around the main building complex
at Alexandre Dairy.
