A YB CHAT was singing today in my neighborhood, the first I've noticed this spring here.  An OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER arrived last Friday (5/4).  Every day a RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER spends hours pounding on the metal rim of my chimney, advertising his territory to another of his species who is pounding a similar chimney a few hundred years away.
