[obol] American Avocet @ Fern Ridge Reservoir, Lane Co

This morning I found three AMERICAN AVOCETS at the southern most pond of the 
Fisher Butte Unit at Fern Ridge Reservoir, Lane Co.  The three were moving 
around a lot, so if you go looking for them be sure and look at other ponds. 
I first had them fly over the Fisher Butte parking lot headed south toward 
the East Coyote Unit.  A few minutes later I had them at the southern most 
pond at Fisher Butte where the numerous Black-necked Stilts were chasing 
them.  Later in the morning I had them fly in and land on the island in the 
western most pond where the White Pelicans (six were there this morning) 
hang out.  And, a few minutes later I had one fly over me and land in the 
next pond to the east, where the Tufted Duck was seen earlier in the spring.
Other birds of note were a pair of BLUE-WINGED TEAL, in the very northeast 
corner of the southern most pond at Fisher Butte, and a BONAPARTE'S GULL 
with the other gulls at the "pelican" island.  I only had two BLACK TERNS 
and one CASPIAN TERN.
