The preliminary total number of species seen in Benton County for the NAMC 
on Saturday, May 12th is 114 sp.  This is the 3d highest total since I've 
been a compiler starting in 1995.

Highlights include:

 Western Grebe - 2 still at Cabell Marsh
Great Egret - 1 at Finley
Blue Grouse - Mary's Peak
Ruffed Grouse - McDonald Forest
Black-necked Stilt - 1 still lingering at Cabell Marsh
Wilson's Phalarope - up to 3 at McFadden Marsh
N. Pygmy Owl - Mary's Peak
Nashville Warbler - McDonald Forest or nearby
MacGillivray's Warbler - McDonald Forest

Misses include several bird species that were easily seen just a week 
earlier:
