Found another Black Oystercatcher nest/single egg on Seal Island at Yaquina
Head late this afternoon. It's in the top left quadrant of the main part of the
rock....look for a 3D area that looks like an arrowhead pointing to the sky.
The nest is right at the tip ofthe arrowhead (same general location as last
year but not exactly the same). There is a Western Gull nest directly to the
right (west) of the oystercatcher nest. This one is far enough away that you
really need a good scope on high power to see it well...I had to bump it up to
60x to make absolutely sure it was an egg. The one at Trespass Cove you can see
fairly well with 10x bins....and quite well at 20x-30x.

We'll be following both of these nests very closely. Maybe we'll have 2 eggs on
each nest tomorrow :-) If anyone observes anything interesting with these
nests, please let me know.
