Not much new to report except the lone TREE SWALLOW is
still out on the north spit of Coos Bay and has been
there since at least 10/29, perhaps it's attempting to
overwinter? Good luck! Also, on 10/30 there were at
least 5 REDHEADS out on the north spit and they are
still around.

The number of PALM WARBLERS is way down this year in
Coos Co., at least compared with the last several
years. We have had only five singles reported,
normally it's not unusual to find small flocks here
and there this time of year. We'll see if the numbers
pick up in the next couple weeks (the peak numbers are
during migration in October and November)? We have
been finding overwintering birds on the Coos Bay CBC
the last several years but at this rate, they could be
hard to find this winter? We'll see what happens,
looks like nice weather for several more days.

Happy Birding all,
Tim R
Coos Bay

PS: GO DUCKS
