A quick stop at Fernhill mid morning did not yield very much. 3 Snow Geese were temporarily with a large flock of white-cheeked geese in the field west of the wetland. The highlight was a single immature BONAPARTE'S GULL flying back and forth over the main pond. There were no grebes except for Pied-billed.
I was not able to refind the white-stripe White-throated Sparrow along Geiger Rd. Fox Sparrows were present in good numbers in the blackberries near the bridge across the slough.
There are now 2 tan-stripe WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS in West Union at the spot described in my Oct30 posting.
