Sounds like Saturday was a good day for the first
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS of the fall.  I saw one in far
southern Coos County up the Bethel Mtn. Road (NE of
Langlois). Also, went by Floras Lake in Curry Co.  The
wind was howling, the wind surfers were tearing around
the lake, but I was still able to jump one LAPLAND
LONGSPUR north of the lake.  Also about 300 CACKLING
GEESE (mostly Aleutians) in the pastures on the way
into Floras Lake.

A few more days of sun- most excellent!
