[obol] Pre-dawn owl calls

one reason that the fall months are especially good for hearing owls is that this is a major dispersal period for hatching-year birds of the more-or-less non-migratory species like W Screech-Owl, Great Horned, Barred, and N Pygmy.  the resident breeders vocalize in response to dispersers moving through their territories, and perhaps the dispersing birds themselves are more vocal (not sure about the latter).
