[obol] Eugene - Pond Clean Up Project

Hi OBOL,

We are working with the City of Eugene's Stream Team
to clean up the ponds along the West Bank Bike Path
between Arbor Drive and Merry Lane.  

We've got a good core group of 7 folks, but could
always use more! We plan to grub out the ivy,
blackberry and other non natives, replant natives, and
potentially work to reclaim the old slough that runs
through the area.

Our next work party is scheduled for this Sunday,
November 11, from 1- 3 p.m. If you would like more
information or would like to help, please let me know!

This is a neat little area, and will be even better
for the birds when we get it cleaned up. There are
Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, sparrows, lots of 
waterfowl and in spring it is warbler-ville deluxe!
