[obol] AMGO rescue

This afternoon, a flock of American Goldfinches suddenly scattered from my sunflower feeder (possibly due to a Sharpie) and one struck my living room window. I usually leave the blinds drawn over halfway to help prevent this very thing (the cat annoyingly plays with them if they're down too far), but apparently this one tried to fly into the space "under" the blinds. I put it on a box and let it warm up inside for about 20 minutes and noticed that there was some dull red color mixed in with its feces (internal bleeding?). Therefore, I wasn't terribly optimistic about its chances at first. But after brining it back outside, it flew a few feet up into a bush and then over to an apple tree in the neighbor's yard a few minutes later. So it looks like it has a decent chance of fully recovering. That made me feel good, especially since this was the second window collision here this week.
