[obol] "Digividibinned" Varied Thrush

I had a go at capturing some digital video of a Varied Thrush, Ixoreus
naevius, that has been visiting our feeders in Scappoose, Oregon. The twist
on this is that I shot the video off-hand through a binocular using the new
Swarovski binocular camera adapter (hence the “digividibin” technique
designation). Two clips can be found on my blog:
http://www.bornagainbirdwatcher.com/2007/11/veni-vidi-vath.html. The results
aren’t too bad, although I think I might use a tripod or monopod rest next
time if I again choose to use the extra zoom offered by the camera.

Peace and good bird watching,

John E. Riutta
