Sorry about the duplicate messages. This was sent out yesterday but not
approved because I sent it from an account other than the one I normally
post things to COBOL on. Thanks everybody for your answers, it has been
very educational. The administrator of the Colorado RBA today wrote that
Stefani and I "easily doubled the number of Tundra Swans seen at one time
anywhere in Colorado on one day." Hard to believe. . . .

Subject: [COBOL] Tundra Swans

I just got back from a trip to Colorado (more about which in a later email).
While there I saw a flock of 35 Tundra Swans at fairly close range migrating
from north to south. I was told by the manager of the local RBA that this
is the largest flock ever seen at one time in Colorado. That seems
remarkable to me given the hundreds we see at Summer Lake and in the Klamath
basin in winter. My question for the group is what is the largest migrating
flock of Tundra Swans you have seen in flight in Oregon?

Thanks,

Tom
