     There were several score of Barn Swallows
over the marsh across the road from Fernhill Lake
this morning(10am). The most I've seen in October.
Two were over my house at sunset today, where they
never occur in the summer. Then I heard a Violet-green
Swallow, the last bird of the day. Apparently I'm
not the only one reluctant to admit Summer's demise.
