There was a SAY'S PHOEBE on the fenceline out on the
end of Transpacific Lane on the north spit of Coos Bay
today around noon. This has proven to be the best
spot in the county for finding this species which is
usually only seen a couple times each year. Also, I
saw and heard several flocks of ALEUTIAN CACKLING
GEESE moving south, one flock had about 200 birds in
it. There are also several LAPLAND LONGSPURS still
around.
Happy birding all,
Tim R
Coos Bay
