No luck refinding the TROPICAL KINGBIRD today out on
the north spit of Coos Bay, when I left around 1 PM
Paul Sherrell and Don Schrouder were still looking for
it, but we all had been looking for a while so I'm
sure it's up in Florence waiting for Dave Irons to
show up.

Other highlights of the morning:
1- BOBOLINK (the 9th Coos record, and the 3rd one in 2
yrs.)
1- SAY'S PHOEBE (most likely the same bird seen two
days ago, it was hanging out inside the fenced
compound at the boat building plant near the end of
Transpacific Lane on the north spit).
1- PALM WARBLER
8- LAPLAND LONGSPURS
2- GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE

The only shorebirds I saw were a few LEAST SANDPIPERS,
one WHIMBREL, and one LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER. Also a
couple hundred pipits.

Happy Birding all,
Tim R
