The AMERICAN TREE SPARROW discovered yesterday at the Neawanna Mill
Ponds by Mike Patterson, was again seen this morning by Steve Warner,
Mike and me. I put down seed and the bird showed up at the seed--imagine
that!
The Neawanna Mill Ponds is a nature preserve owned by the city of
Seaside located east of Hwy 101 off Ave "S." Drive east on Ave. S for
300 or so yards off 101. Turn south at Alder Mill Rd. and park on the
shoulder where the road dead-ends at a cabled gate. The seed slick is
just beyond the gate.
Also in the area today was a YELLOW WARBLER, ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, and
a surprise flyover of two SNOW GEESE with CACKLING GEESE.
