Enjoying the excellent weather, I was yanking up the vegetable garden today 
when I heard Western Bluebirds and saw them moving around in the treetops. 
This was a first as a yard bird. Later a lone hatch year Band-tailed Pigeon 
showed up, a big drop since early last week when flocks of 20+ came every 
day. A mixed flock of the little guys came around, including a Hutton's 
Vireo.

California Tortoiseshells were warming up and later quite a few flitted 
around the house. Altogether a lovely time to be out.
