My colleague Gabe McNassar found and photographed a Black Phoebe this
morning on Port property on the SW side of Portland Airport. I check
this evening and did not find the bird. It was along a vegetated slough
on the south side of Elrod Road. This area is not open to the public.
If anyone is inclined to look for the bird, the closest public area is
on NE 33rd where the "AmeriFlight" sign and gate are located, south of
the OR Guard armory. The bird was along the slough on the south side of
the Elrod Road (which runs east from 33rd), about 1/8 of a mile east of
33rd.
