[obol] Spotted sandpiper inquiry

Greg's note re: Spotted Sandpipers at Hagg Lake reminds me that there is
some question about the movements of this species in Oregon.  My impression
is that the breeding birds are essentially gone by sometime in September and
that the small number of wintering birds don't arrive until November.  Is
that what's really happening?  What are other people's impressions?
