[obol] Pre-dawn Owl

I had a little owl call this morning around 6am.  (Not a Little Owl, but a 
small owl). It gave a call I've never heard before.  It started with five or 
six toots very fast and then three longer toots.  So it sounded like, 
to-to-to-to-to-to toot, toot, toot.  All the notes were on the same pitch. 
It wasn't the bouncing ball call of the Western Screech, it was pretty much 
the opposite of that.  If it weren't for the intro, I would have had no 
problems calling it a Northern Pygmy Owl.  It called three times from below 
my house, but I was never able to locate it.  Any ideas?
