I started my day at Fernhill Wetlands at around noon. The bright white-stripe WHITE-THROATED SPARROW continues along Geiger Rd. This time I had the bird about 100yds east of the intersection Fern Hill Rd & Geiger Road (second pole, south side of the road, in an alder). About 100yds further east was a great candidate for slate-colored Dark-eyed Junco, but the lighting was suboptimal, so I can't call this bird. 3 SNOW GEESE were in the pond across from the parking lot. Apart from that, a pair of Hooded Mergansers, a WESTERN GULL, no Clark's Grebes.
At Hagg Lake, Greg Gillson's PACIFIC LOON was easy (scoped from Rec Area C). I didn't find any Red-necked Grebes, but there was a single EARED GREBE with a Horned on the NW side of the dam.
My final stop was the Jackson Bottom North Viewsite (at least that's what they call it on their website) where there were a single Tundra Swan and a Peregrine Falcon.
