Birders,
Today at 4pm I had a male RUSTY and 2 male TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS near 
the town of Smith River. Go about 1 !/2 south of the town on Fred Haight 
Drive and watch for a large red wooden barn along the west side of the 
road. Hundreds of blackbirds swirling here and in nearby fields. The 
Rusty and Tric. were on the north side of the barn next to a metal feed 
lot shelter.
In the town of Smith River, I also had 44 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES, which 
is now the Del Norte County record high count. And 2 additional ones 
were in the Smith River estuary area at the Ship Ashore mobile home park.
