Hi OBOL:

I immediately jumped in my truck to find the Ross' Goose after Kim called
Craig to report his sighting. I arrived at the farm pond and there was no
Ross' Goose. It must have moved on before I got there.

But there were two juvenile Snow Geese that looked like they could be
juvenile blue phase Snow Geese. There were also three Greater White-fronted
Geese. So I still need a Ross' Goose for Jefferson County.

Snow Geese are moving through Central Oregon right now and I am keeping my
eyes open! Whenever Fuzzy-Bird and Affie-Goose look up I run outside to see
what they are looking at. They are usually spotting raptors!

I saw a Ross' Goose at a farm pond near Haystack
Reservoir today. The pond is across the road and a
little east of the KOA campground on Jericho Lane.

"Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up and makes
his nest on high? On the rock he dwells and makes his home
in the fastness of the rocky crag. There he spies out the
prey; his eyes behold it afar off."
