[obol] Late Lane Coast Observation (soon to be rare?) 8/30/07

While driving Siltcoos Beach Road on Thursday, August 30, I observed a flock of about 30 BAND-TAILED PIGEONS fly over.
This is the largest flock I have seen all year. They've been seldom seen (and in much fewer numbers) in the areas I regularly visit in the Coast Range. 

I'll be reading the book Larry McQueen recommended.
