On the weekend of September 15 and 16, the Oregon version of the North
American Migration Count will occur.  Volunteers around the state will
organize by counties and attempt to survey migrant and resident birds in
those counties.  This is a one day event.  It will either occur on Saturday,
September 15 or Sunday September 16th depending on the schedule below.  If
you would like to get involved in this annual event, please contact the
coordinator for the county of your choice.  If you have questions about the
NAMC, respond to this email and I will attempt to answer them.

Nearly all of the historic NAMC data is now in my possession.  Several
volunteers from the East Cascades Bird Conservancy will be working on
collating this data over the winter.  A thorough analysis of the data will
follow.  If you have avoided being involved with this project in the past
because you felt the data was going nowhere, please reconsider.  This is a
valuable effort and your contribution will be worth the time you spend.

The schedule for each county is included below.  Please notice that there
are several counties without coordinators.  Let me know if you would like to
count in one of these non-counted counties.
