Hello, 
 
 On Thurs., 30 Aug., 2007, Dave Haupt observed 8 Great-tailed Grackles (7 
 male, 1 female) on the Tulelake High School football field, in Tulelake, 
 northeastern Siskiyou Co., CA. I later saw 7 at the same location. They 
 were loosely associated with other feeding Brewer's Blackbirds. This would 
 be the most seen of this species at one time, with the largest previous 
 number in the Klamath Basin, 5, seen in July many years ago. Last May, 3 were observed in the 
 grass fields at Tulelake Elementary School, in Tulelake.
