The STILT SANDPIPERS (there are most likely two from
what I hear, I haven't been down to see them) at
Bandon Marsh NWR were still around on 9/1, I didn't
hear if anyone was able to track them down on 9/2-
sounds like a Peregrine was making finding them
difficult.

The WHITE-WINGED DOVE was around in Bandon still on
9/2 as reported previously.

There were still 10 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS on the
north spit of Coos Bay on 9/2, with 11 there on 9/1.
Also on 9/1, there were three golden-plovers in the AM
that eluded birders the rest of the weekend. There was
a BANK SWALLOW on the north spit on 9/1 and a WILLOW
FLYCATCHER there on 8/31. Lots of warblers in the
willows also- mainly YELLOWS, but also a few
ORANGE-CROWNED and YELLOW-RUMPED plus many COMMON
YELLOWTHROATS.

I'm sure Greg Gillson will update OBOL on the 9/1
pelagic out of Charleston. Good looks at ARCTIC
TERNS, SABINES GULLS, and all three Jaegers though. I
expect Paul Sullivan and/or Dawn Grafe can give a more
complete update on the Shorebird Festival species
list.

That's it for now,
Tim R
