[obol] Buff Breasted Sandpipers at Siuslaw 9-1

I spent the weekend at Florence. I drove out to the north and south Siuslaw
jetties hoping to see an Elegant Tern. I spent several hours Saturday and
Sunday afternoons crabbing by boat between the jetties and constantly
scanning for Elegant Terns. Never saw a one. While leaving town this morning
ny wife asked if I wanted to drive out the south jetty to look one last time
but I declined. Apparently there were 30 out there again.

Saturday morning I hiked Dotterel dike out to the deflation plain from the
south jetty road. A couple of hundred yards north from the end of the dike
was a flock of 6 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS and one BAIRD'S SANDPIPER. I was
able to get some nice photos. One can be seen at:
