Steve Warner and I were doing COASST beached bird surveys along Del Rey
Beach this morning. The amorphous blob reported yesterday has migrated
about 300m south along the beach and is attracting quite a lot of
attention.
A SABINE'S GULL flew in and checked things out:

We also had a close flyby BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE obviously interested in
what all the other gulls were up to.
Steve also reports that there is still at least 1 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER
at the Necanicum Estuary. I stopped b this afternoon and saw 10 MARBLED
GODWITS, 9 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, plus the usual small stuff.
