[obol] osprey question

Dave and OBOL:

I have seen an Osprey carry a muskrat back to a nest.  At the Kirtland Rd ponds near Medford for years had a nest on top of the power pole nearest Kirtland Rd.  

As one would be watching waterfowl in the large lagoons at the north end of the facility, Osprey would fly over and either bring nesting material to the nest or food to the new arrivals.   
The waterfowl would not be bothered by the predator flying overhead.  However,  once a falcon, hawk or eagle showed up, the waterfowl would be airborne in an instant.

As birders we know that the silhouette of the Osprey is different than other birds of prey.  I fully believe that waterfowl know the difference as well.
