[obol] FOY Calliope Hummer Deschutes County; Deschutes River Woods

This morning I had a male Calliope Hummingbird visit one of our feeders
(unfortunately frozen so I quickly set out a liquid one).  A bit later
than last year, but still on the early side for this species at our
place.  We have had one or two pairs of Calliope's nesting in the
neighborhood for the past six years.
 
Also had our first of the season Violet-green Swallows stop by.  Two
males that apparently didn't care for each other as they tumbled to the
ground, locking toes about five feet in front of me.
