On April 2, 2009, Eugene's Wednesday birders went to the Delta Ponds, north of Valley River Center, on this cold and sunny day. Orange-crowned Warblers were numerous. The Myrtle form of the Yellow-rump Warbler was very common with only a few Audubons. A Northern Rough-winged Swallow was seen flying with many Trees and Violet-greens. One Green Heron, that actually looked green in the sunlight, was skulking at the edge of the beaver lodge. Our group was comprised of Roger Robb, Randy Sinnott, Sylvia Maulding, Paul Sherrell, Don Schrouder, Fred Chancey, George Grier and me. Here is our entire list. - Dennis
