The AMERICAN TREE SPARROW was still around on the
north spit of Coos Bay on 2 April. This is definitely
the latest spring record for this species in Coos
County.

The 2 overwintering SHORT-EARED OWLS were also still
present up Haynes Inlet (northeast of the McCullough
bridge into Coos Bay) in the pastures at Larry
Mangan's place on 3 April. There is only one other
April record for this species in Coos Co.

Lots of singing AUDUBON'S WARBLERS on the north spit
of Coos Bay on 3 April also.

ENJOY!
