We have an E.C. Dove in our yard. Half an hour ago we had a snow squall go past and notices a dove like bird landing in the yard. It hunkered down by a clump of weeds to wait out the squall. Unfortunately it kept its back to the house for awhile. When my husband came in he watched for a few minutes. It finally moved so we could get a better look at it. This is the first we have had in the two years we have been here. Last year we had Mourning Doves pass through in the spring.

Last Thurs. we came home from Burns and as we drove through the gate we flushed a small flock of Mountain Bluebirds. Our Horned Larks have moved back to the yard from the gravel pit. The pair of Killdeer are still looking for a good spot in the pasture for a nest site. The pair of Redtail Hawks are working on their nest near the creek and talking a lot.
