We have 3 more of our summer birds back. Sat after doing the dog run down the runway my husband saw a Western Kingbird sitting on the fence. Later while I was puttering in the front yard I saw a Chipping Sparrow rummaging in the grass along the yard fence. This morning I was looking out the windows checking on the great outdoors and saw an American Tree Sparrow in our dead juniper in the back yard. With a return of warm (75 degrees) weather there are more bugs flying so more food. Our Northern Mockingbird has stayed down by the creek and the Mourning Doves have been hanging around the chicken pen. We have seen in the area an Osprey off and on. There is a small reservoir near and the Owyhee River is 13 miles away. Our Redtail and Harrier have been fighting about the dividing line on their territories. It seems to be our corral.
