Hi,

Joline Shroyer telephoned and said she saw the pair of LAPLAND LONGSPURS
a second time at 11:30-11:40 AM this morning (4/28). Again, they were on
the big rocks along the Yaquina Bay South Jetty near the biggest parking
area and near the 3rd rock finger into the channel west of the Yaquina Bay
Bridge.

This time she saw that the male had white edges on the outer tail
feathers, the top of the back of the head was black, and the back of the
neck was chestnut-brown that extended down to the shoulders.

She did not note the color of the bill, but noted that the bill was
sparrow-like. My notes from her earlier call that its bill was
light-colored were in error.

   Cheers,
