I located the AMERICAN TREE SPARROW found along Honeyman Road in
Scappoose Bottoms. The were two WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in the same
area. I have seen nine WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in Columbia County this
year. There were two LINCOLN'S SPARROWS in the same area. I spread
bird seed in the pullout area and away from the road edge.

Thank you to Jay Withgott for finding this bird and giving good
directions. I am doing a big year in Columbia County and this is bird
number 100. The best directions are to travel 3.0 miles from the
intersection of Westlane and Honeyman Road. You are there when you see
the Poplar Tree planting on the left side of the road. The pullout is
just short of this tree group.

I found a EURASIAN WIGEON at the next bend to the south of this spot.
There is another bend in the road and a pullout to the right. The
widgeon was in the grass wetlands and very hard to spot, but it is
there.

Just beyond the yellow house on the right I found 3 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS.
Taking the next bend in the road and then looking behind the brick home
on the right I found a PEREGRINE FALCON and the ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK that I
had found previously in this area.

On Sauvie Island along Rentenaar Road among 700 SNOW GEESE there was a
single ROSS'S GOOSE. Look for a bird that is grayish on the head. I
found 68 bird species in the county and the sun was shining between a
few light showers.
