[obol] JoCo Purple Finches

For around a couple of weeks, PURPLE FINCH numbers seemed higher than "normal" at our feeders (just east of Merlin I-5 exit, Josephine Co).  A rough count taken this morning (02-03-08) found about 23, which seems like a number for March birds.  Perhaps food is scarce and they are looking around earlier than most past years.  Been having elevated numbers of JUNCOS too.

Also, heard a VARIED THRUSH this morning, which have been scarce this winter around our place.
