[obol] OBOL and Cat threads

Greetings All,

Based on the brief and, thus far, manageable discussion spurred by the Eagle v. Cat post several days ago, I thought it might be an appropriate time to remind newer subscribers of the OBOL list "rules" on this topic.  There has long been a tacit (I think it's actually stated somewhere) understanding that discussions of feral/house cat issues are not appropriate for this list.  Cat predation on birds is a major problem as we all recognize.  However, online discussions of this topic invariably devolve into a verbal joust between cat haters and birders who own and love their cats.  The overwhelming majority of subscribers have no interest in enduring this thread to vitriol.
